The University of Salamanca launched a project to train primary and secondary school teachers in the science of climate change in Castilla y León in line with the curricular content of the LOMCE.“Awareness and training on climate change for primary and secondary school teachers”, which has the support of the Biodiversity Foundation, has been developed by an interdisciplinary group of researchers from the University of Salamanca who have created didactic material and a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) that offers a comprehensive review with scientific rigor on the impact that the physics and chemistry of this process has on society.

The MOOC has established itself as a reference educational resource on climate change in Spanish with more than 1,000 enrollees from various Spanish-speaking countries (more than 300 from Spain). Within the project, an updated, rigorous course has been produced and designed especially for primary school teachers in different digital formats.
