The Conama Foundation has completed its annual climate change adaptation project, mobilizing different entities and sectors to work and share together actions to improve the climate situation.

The Conama Foundation has completed the ‘Conama 2018 Adapta’ project. This initiative has had the support of the Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry for Ecological Transition within the framework of its 2017 call for grants.

Previously, the entity has been a beneficiary of aid for different projects. On this occasion, the objective has been to contribute to the mobilization of actors for the transfer of knowledge in the field of adaptation to climate change and the achievement of the objectives of the National Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change (PNACC) and its Third Work Programme.

The project has managed to mobilise hundreds of experts from companies, administrations and the social sector to share experiences on adaptation to climate change. The Working Group on Adaptation to Climate Change has generated a reference document collecting the most up-to-date information on the material. In addition, the project has served to compile 75 technical communications on projects and innovations related to adaptation to climate change. Experts from Provincial Councils and local entities have been brought together to share initiatives that are being carried out and create a framework for sharing knowledge. Among the project’s informative materials is the video Adapting is living, with interviews with experts in adaptation to climate change.
