The project contemplates the development of a set of actions aimed at the conservation and recovery of natural habitats of interest on the shores of the Mar Menor, the largest Spanish coastal lagoon, both inland and near protected natural areas.
At the same time, the mapping of the most threatened habitats will be updated and knowledge of the distribution of unique species such as eels and prickly pears will be improved.
Finally, awareness and participation actions will be developed seeking the support of fishermen in improving the management of the resources of the Mar Menor, proposing reserve areas for different uses.
