The purpose of the centre is to disseminate the heritage, natural and development values of the National Network of Livestock Trails, thus allowing the extension of the uses of these roads, which are so beneficial for the environment.

The vocation of the project is for the Information and Documentation Center of Livestock Trails to become a scientific and informative reference of a national nature. To this end, the rehabilitation works of the Casa-Palacio de los Mayorazgo will be undertaken, which will serve as the headquarters, which will house a documentary collection where all the historical, cartographic and bibliographic information of interest on cattle trails is gathered, in order to facilitate their study and research.

Likewise, educational activities will be developed, through the assembly of an interactive exhibition on cattle trails and the setting up of a multipurpose room for scientific meetings, conferences and promotion of informative material.
