The project coordinated by the Al-Andalus Responsible Fishing Association focuses on the figure of the responsible recreational fisherman and therefore has the main objective of improving knowledge of the recreational fishing activity in the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Marine Reserve in Almeria. The tool chosen to achieve this objective is mainly materialized in the creation of a web application to promote more responsible fishing.

Among the actions that are part of the project include the presentation of the application to the members of the Responsible Fishing Association Al-Andalus and the carrying out of ten monthly samplings of the catches in recreational boats in order to validate the information obtained from the application. With this material obtained, it is intended Develop an online database for the incorporation of information on fisheries. The initiative would end with the development of afinal report of results and with theSubmission of the application to theSpanish Confederation of Responsible Recreational Fishing, as well as the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment.
