The project aims to reduce the vulnerability caused by climate change in the municipality of Tarabuco, in Bolivia.

The initiative will provide assistance to 40 families with at least one elderly person among their members, so its scope is about 200 people, to provide them with tools that contribute to mitigating the effects of climate change, through the management of water resources through the implementation of micro-irrigation systems, agroforestation and the strengthening of local capacities.

In this way, a rational use of water resources is promoted, the food security of the beneficiary population is strengthened, through the planting of family gardens, and local capacities are reinforced thanks to the production of a participatory video.

Among the activities contemplated by the project is the construction of 40 micro-irrigation systems for the use and management of water resources. In addition, 70 family gardens will be implemented for the organic production of vegetables. To train the population in the maximum use of these crops, three theoretical-practical workshops will be held per community.

Finally, a group of participatory video experts train project participants in the use of video as a research tool in awareness-raising, training and advocacy. Community members will be interviewed to contribute to a greater understanding of local problems, impacts and solutions to the effects of climate variability. Ten project participants will assist in the script, direction and production of the video.
