The general objective of the project is to improve the economic and environmental sustainability of the pastures through the training of those responsible for their management.
The aim is to create tools for the transmission of knowledge generated by research to provide training to workers in the sector.
The workers to whom the actions are aimed are:
- Technicians with university degrees (mainly technical engineers or higher technicians, agronomists or foresters) dedicated to the management of dehesa farms.
- Owners of dehesa farms who make decisions regarding their management and, therefore, also about their sustainability.
- Workers responsible for the total or partial management of the pastures of the farm on which they work.
The environmental regulations that concern the management of the pastures are extensive, varied and dynamic, so managers must be aware of them in order to carry out their activity.
