The project consists of the development of a modular computer application that allows the management, in a coordinated manner, of the different collections of plant material (living or dead) that is preserved in the botanical gardens.
The project consists of the development of a modular computer application that allows the management, in a coordinated manner, of the different collections of plant material (living or dead) that is preserved in the botanical gardens.
This application allows the connection of multiple databases that separately store information on plant biodiversity, while making accessible, via the web, data that currently remain unpublished in live plant collections, herbariums and germplasm banks.
The project includes the following actions:
- Registration in the collections of all derivatives obtained from pre-existing material.
- Standardization of the taxa and authorships used in the same botanical garden and referencing to the taxonomic criteria followed.
- Data adequacy to exchange protocols
- Georeferencing of stored records according to the most common standards,
