The project is aimed at improving the current state of conservation of the Cantabrian coast. The aim is to publicise the invertebrate flora and fauna, as well as their distribution.

The project is aimed at improving the current state of conservation of the Cantabrian coast. The aim is to publicise the invertebrate flora and fauna, as well as their distribution.

In addition, the importance of protecting these specimens and their habitats will be disseminated, as well as the state of conservation of the beaches and the way to make tourism development compatible with the good biological status of the communities.

This project, aimed exclusively at teachers and school-age students, includes the following activities:

• Preparation of teaching support materials.
• Organization of a presentation in the classroom.
• Bus trip to a beach to put into practice the knowledge acquired.
• Laboratory analysis of the samples taken in the field during the visit to the beach.
• Organization of a debate among the students on the state of urban beaches and the measures to be adopted for their conservation.
