Broadcast throughout the national territory by the TVE signal, “The Protective Forest” is consolidated year after year as a space dedicated to raising awareness of the importance of Spanish forests.

Since 2002, Televisión Española (TVE) and the Polytechnic University of Madrid have joined forces to co-produce this television series entitled “The Protective Forest”, dedicated to raising public awareness about the past, present and future importance of Spanish forests, as well as the serious deterioration they have suffered due to human actions.

In addition to the 23 existing chapters of this television series, there are three new 25-minute documentaries that will deal with the following topics: Filabres, the border forest; Threatened fauna, habitat restoration; and Endangered fauna, bearded vultures.
