The general objective of the project is to advance in the training of entrepreneurs and workers of Andalusian SMEs regarding the principles of responsible consumption and corporate social responsibility.
The ECO-Consume project aims to encourage investment managers to incorporate social, economic and environmental responsibility criteria in the definition of their financial products and in their investment decisions. The aim is for Andalusian SMEs to have incentives from the financial market to improve the sustainability of their management practices, and, therefore, to be able to offer consumers a catalogue of environmentally responsible products.
Thus, it is intended to achieve the modernization of companies and sectors of activity, adapting their economic activities to the new scenarios foreseen in Andalusia due to climate change. Through the promotion of the sustainability of the economic activities of Andalusian SMEs, and the environmental education provided to workers in general terms, it is intended to reduce the levels of CO2 emitted into the atmosphere. The implementation of these green economy principles will reduce the effects of climate change and develop a new area for growth and employment with high added value.
The actions are aimed at the self-employed and staff of Andalusian companies linked to the consumer union, as well as the rest of Andalusian companies with environmental interests, suppliers of various products and services.
The fundamental idea of the initiative is the establishment of a training platform of the Union of Consumers of Andalusia for the implementation of a series of training, informative and dissemination actions, aimed at workers of SMEs and the self-employed in matters of responsible consumption and corporate social responsibility.
