The project is part of eco-union’s area of training, dissemination and innovation for sustainability, whose mission is to transform society towards sustainability and train agents of change to carry out this transformation.

ecoTURAL is an initiative to promote green employment in the tourism sector, with a holistic vision of sustainable economy. Within the tourism sector, rural tourism and nature tourism will be focused, as well as cultural and natural tourism of environmental education.

The aim is to promote the consolidation of existing sustainable economic activities in this sector, through the improvement of its competitiveness. In addition, at the same time, both new private initiatives and new lines of green business are promoted, which can favour in the medium and long term a transformation of the conventional tourism sector towards the new environmental culture, within the Mediterranean axis.

The initiative is aimed at professionals and entrepreneurs belonging to or with an interest in the sustainable rural, natural and cultural tourism sector.
