The objective is to equip the Mas de l’Escultor building in the municipality of Marça, in Tarragona, with the necessary exhibition and audiovisual material to turn it into an Interpretation Center of the Sierra de Llabería and the Mediterranean Tortoise.

The objective is to equip the Mas de l’Escultor building in the municipality of Marça, in Tarragona, with the necessary exhibition and audiovisual material to turn it into an Interpretation Center of the Sierra de Llabería and the Mediterranean Tortoise.

The building is located within the Tivissa-Vandellòs-Llabería Natura 2000 Network. Through local initiatives, it is intended to contribute to the conservation, protection and study of the Mediterranean tortoise population, as well as to the economic development of the municipality.

The specific objective is the design and edition of the exhibition material determined in the “Basic Project of the Interpretation Centre of the Mediterranean Turtle and the Serra de Llabería del Mas de l’Escultor, in Marça”, in January 2009.

To equip the center, about 800 original photographs of the species and the environment of the turtle will be selected. Models of the texts associated with the themes will also be drawn up for the 22 panels that the centre will have and a basic project for the distribution of the exhibition materials will be designed.
