This proposal is aimed at optimising the services provided by companies from Extremadura that are part of the value chain of biomass-based energy systems.
Although biomass has a very important latent potential in the community of Extremadura, the number of workers working in this field is not yet high, and those who do have generally been performing these tasks for a short time and lack sufficient training. To solve this shortcoming, it is necessary to promote the specific training of personnel and the exchange of experiences between already consolidated companies and new ones.
The value chain to be influenced encompasses from farmers and waste-producing cooperatives, to the end customer, including manufacturers, equipment installers and biomass suppliers.
The project is aimed at:
- Workers of SMEs and micro-SMEs, especially in the environmental sector.
- Self-employed workers in the agricultural sector, farmers with the ability to reuse their own waste or to expand their activity and generate new reusable waste.
- Self-employed workers in the livestock sector, who want to reuse their waste, such as slurry.
- Self-employed or liberal professions, including industrial engineers, agronomists, chemists, environmental engineers, architects, etc.
