The main objective of the project is to generate future local climate scenarios, specific to the Spanish National Parks and their surroundings. This will be done according to a methodology designed by the Foundation for Climate Research itself.

This is the so-called Two-Step Analogue Method, as it consists of a statistical approximation that is carried out in two phases.
More specifically, it is intended to:
- Use data from the weather stations of the Network of Stations in the National Parks of Picos de Europa, Sierra Nevada and Archipiélago de Cabrera to generate specific scenarios for these points.
- Use data from other observation networks, in particular from the State Meteorological Agency (AEMet) network, in which there are historical observations.
This local information is important for designing climate change adaptation policies based on the impacts detected from the simulation.
