The Global Eco Forum is an annual meeting, in virtual and face-to-face format, which brings together agents from different economic, social and political sectors of society. Organized by Eco-union, the event has the collaboration of various entities.

The Global Eco Forum is an annual meeting, in virtual and face-to-face format, which brings together agents from different economic, social and political sectors of society. Organized by Eco-union, the event has the collaboration of various entities.

The meeting, which is being held at La Pedrera, in Barcelona, on 25 and 26 October, aims to encourage reflection, relationships and the generation of new ideas to achieve a more sustainable and responsible world. To this end, dialogue and reflection are promoted among the attendees. This fifth edition focuses on sustainability in the Euro-Mediterranean region.

The meeting consists of:

  • Plenary sessions, debates and round tables with international, national and local speakers.
  • Training sessions. Thematic workshops with special guests.
  • Eco-networking. Virtual meeting through a virtual social network for participants.
  • Performances. Emotional communication and artistic creation.

The purpose of the Global Eco Forum is to advance the culture of sustainability through environmental education and communication. The event seeks to raise awareness and educate participants, managers and professionals, with decision-making capacity and power. It is directed, in short, to people who play a role as engines of change and who indirectly have influence over part of the population.

The specific objectives are:

  • To promote dialogue and constructive debate between representatives of the public and private sectors and civil society.
  • To generate agents of change in society, who with their daily gestures and decisions exert a domino effect achieving a sustainable system.
  • To raise awareness among opinion leaders, with the capacity to decide and with great influence in their environment.
  • Promote sustainability in the business community and promote “green jobs”.
