The project aims to maintain traditional livestock employment and incorporate good practices to conserve and improve the pastures of the Aralar and Aizkorri-Aratz Natural Parks.

The project aims to maintain traditional livestock employment and incorporate good practices to conserve and improve the pastures of the Aralar and Aizkorri-Aratz Natural Parks.

In this way, biological diversity, the landscape and natural habitats are preserved. In addition, the initiative seeks to integrate the productive activity of human beings in mountain areas to make the idea of comprehensive and sustainable development a reality.

The project is aimed at 87 families with exclusive dedication to pastoralism, rural workers with responsibility for the ordinance of pasture management, rural workers and environmental workers. Because in order to carry out the mission of conserving and improving the pastures of the Aralar and Aizkorri-Aratz Natural Parks, the adoption of good livestock practices in pastoral systems is required.
