The project aims to build and consolidate services for the sustainable use of natural and environmental resources through the development of nature conservation, sustainable tourism and leisure activities in the surroundings of the Greenways.

The project aims to build and consolidate services for the sustainable use of natural and environmental resources through the development of nature conservation, sustainable tourism and leisure activities in the surroundings of the Greenways.

To this end, it will have the advice of different managers of Greenways (eco-tourism itineraries that run on old railway lines) who have managed to successfully apply formulas to improve employment and training in environmental matters in their territories, promoting the exchange of this type of experience and the transfer of good practices between the territories. Fundamentally, work will be done with the Greenways of Sierra, La Jara and del Aceite.

The recipients will be workers of SMEs as well as self-employed and agricultural workers from the immediate surroundings of the Greenways where the project will be applied, mainly from the service sector: tourism, artisans, activities in nature and hospitality and agriculture.

The project includes a set of actions, with an eminently formative nature, capable of providing the appropriate tools to advance in the improvement of employment and environmental performance of rural SMEs, as well as the creation of sustainable companies. All of this is articulated around the Greenways, as elementary infrastructures for the development of sustainable tourism activities, organic agricultural production or the promotion of handicraft activities and traditional trades.
