The seventh edition of the Ibero-American Environment Meeting (EIMA 7) will be held in Foz do Iguaçu (Brazil) from 18 to 20 November 2009. Global change will be the central theme, continuing with the line of work that the CONAMA Foundation began to develop during 2008.
This forum will bring together representatives of companies, government, educational institutions and third sector organizations, with the aim of promoting the discussion of important issues for society and preparing a document with the main proposals for changes and improvements discussed during the meeting.
The aim is for participants to have the opportunity to share knowledge and expand their networks of contacts, providing an innovative perspective and approaches that contribute to a consistent and realistic reflection. Thus, encuentro aspires to stimulate proposals and recommendations on new ways to reverse the serious socio-environmental problems that the current development paradigms cause to the planet.
