The project includes the implementation in Denia, of an advanced and innovative system of loan of bicycles made available to citizens so that they can move around their city in a comfortable and environmentally friendly way.

The project includes the implementation in Denia, of an advanced and innovative system of loan of bicycles made available to citizens so that they can move around their city in a comfortable and environmentally friendly way.

The system works through smart cards for use in a network of parking lots with bike anchors connected to a control center. The initiative is completed with promotion, communication and education actions for sustainable mobility necessary to encourage the use of the Biciden system in the city of Denia, thus contributing to promoting the culture of sustainable mobility and the planning and conservation of the territory. 

The expected results with the development of the project are:

• Reduce the rate of use of motor vehicles when travelling within the city in order to increase energy savings and reduce CO2 emissions. 
• To promote the use of bicycles as a sustainable means of transport and an alternative to private motorised vehicles, through the Biciden platform and education and awareness-raising actions for sustainable mobility.
