This project aims to improve the living conditions and resource of the Topnaar population in Namibia’s Naukluft National Park through the construction of fog water trapping nets, Lorraine ovens and environmental awareness.

This project aims to improve the living conditions and resource of the Topnaar population in Namibia’s Naukluft National Park through the construction of fog water trapping nets, Lorraine ovens and environmental awareness.

The objective is to facilitate access to water for the inhabitants of the area, through the construction of nets to trap water from the fog and for communal use.

In addition, through this initiative, deforestation of the Kuiseb riverbed will be reduced.

These activities will serve to promote ASDE’s youth participation in international cooperation projects with the Topnaar community.

The actions of this project are as follows:

• Environmental awareness course.
• Installation of water trapping nets and communal nets.
• Construction of kitchens to reduce the use of firewood.
• Volunteer work camp with young scouts on scholarships.
