INCLUSIVE has been a beneficiary on several occasions with the following projects with the aim of promoting the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities in the conservation and improvement of the environment, for the groups in the area of Villanueva de la Serena, Extremadura.
The purpose of this project is to continue the inclusive environmental volunteering project, a fundamental tool for promoting the participation of people with intellectual disabilities in the care of their natural environment. The objective of this project is to promote environmental volunteering as a tool for the inclusion of people with disabilities.
The result of the project is reflected in the development of a total of 71 inclusive activities, where more than 2,000 volunteers have participated, some 320 from other regional entities that have joined the project.
Among the activities carried out are the evaluation of the ecological status of the main rivers in the region, the collection of more than 400 kg of garbage, the planting of 300 native trees and the installation of 26 nest boxes. Also, and as part of the dissemination, an explanatory video of the camalote has been made, made by volunteers of the association.
