  • It proposes the replacement of groundwater to supply 135.75 ha with treated and reclaimed water from the Bollullos Par del Condado WWTP, contributing to the recovery of the Doñana aquifer.
  • Green filters will be created to improve the quality of irrigation water, studying the yields of olive groves and red fruits and evaluating alternative crops, and the increase in the biodiversity of vertebrates, invertebrates and plants.

It proposes the replacement of groundwater and supply of 135.75 ha with treated and reclaimed wastewater from the Bollullos WWTP par del Condado, contributing to the recovery of the Doñana aquifer.

Specific goals include:

  • To evaluate the evolution of the quality of the treated water in the green filters installed in the irrigation ponds of the Community of Irrigators of Bollullos del Condado.
  • To analyse the influence of the use of reclaimed water on the productive behaviour of olive groves and red fruits within the Community of Irrigators of Bollullos del Condado.
  • Identify viable alternative crops for the Doñana area that can take advantage of reclaimed water in an efficient and sustainable way.
  • To study the environmental, non-agricultural consequences of the application of these particular risks on biodiversity, through the storage of water in ad hoc ponds and the creation of green filters.
  • Creation of infrastructures to be able to replace groundwater with reclaimed water, in order to study its impact on the different crops.
  • Monitoring of green filters in ponds: evolution of agronomic quality and food safety of water.
  • Influence of the use of reclaimed water on the productive behaviour of the olive grove.
  • Influence of the characteristics of reclaimed water on the productive behavior of berries.
  • Identification and evaluation of alternative crops adapted to the use of reclaimed water.
  • Biodiversity and landscape of spaces irrigated with reclaimed water in the Bollullos CR: commitments and synergies between the modernisation of irrigation and the conservation of the flora and fauna of Doñana.
  • Execution of infrastructures for the replacement of groundwater and supply to 135.75 ha with treated and reclaimed wastewater from E.D.A.R.
