The Conama Foundation promotes information and participation of society to conserve nature and biodiversity through its project.

The Conama Foundation launched the National Environmental Congress “Conama 2016 – Biodiversity” with the support of the Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment.

This project promotes information, awareness and participation of society for the conservation of nature and biodiversity through the connection and involvement of agents in the objectives of the Strategic Plan for Natural Heritage and Biodiversity 2011-2017 and in its future review. To promote this project, the thirteenth edition of Conama 2016 was held, in which special attention was paid to the generation of spaces for the promotion of the actions of the agents involved in the preservation of the natural heritage and the biological and genetic diversity of the species. In the development of the project, the involvement of the company was sought, as well as the analysis and participatory proposals of tools for financing biodiversity conservation.

In parallel with direct actions for the conservation of ecosystems and biodiversity, it is essential to increase the involvement of all social agents and participation in order to generate development, communication or financing tools that ensure the viability of the actions necessary to meet the objectives of the Strategic Plan for Natural Heritage and Biodiversity 2011-2017.
