The main objective of this project carried out by SEO Birdlife with the support of the Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment has been to create a National Census for the Argentine parrot and collect the necessary information to plan the management of its populations. The initiative has thus managed to contribute to the knowledge of the situation of this invasive species as well as to comply with the control obligations of the administrations established by Royal Decree 630/2013. In addition, cases of management of the species have been collected in different places of its distribution that have served to create a strategic basis for national action.

Specifically, the actions carried out during 2015 have managed to develop a database of the Argentine parrot and a mobile application that facilitates citizen participation. In addition, coordination teams were established at the national and provincial levels and local census teams coordinated at the regional or local level. Finally, a report has been written that analyzes the results of the fieldwork.
