The overall objective of the project is to protect, in the medium term, the proposed area through its declaration as a nature reserve by initiating the relevant administrative procedures.

More specifically, this initiative, a continuation of the one selected in the 2005 call for grants, aims to:

• Carry out monitoring and comparative studies of the floristic and faunal communities of the area under management.
• Make a management proposal.
• Establish a proposal for indicators of management effectiveness and results.
• To study coastal dynamics.
• Carry out educational activities with informative material.
• Develop environmental volunteering and participation activities.
• Identify key sectors.
• Request the declaration of the area as a reserve.
