The purpose of the project is to maintain or re-establish the fauna and flora of the Eastern Mountain of Cantabria and the improvement of the sustainable hunting use of the Mancomunidad de Cotos del Asón.

The purpose of the project is to maintain or re-establish the fauna and flora of the Eastern Mountain of Cantabria and the improvement of the sustainable hunting use of the Mancomunidad de Cotos del Asón.

To this end, the following activities are contemplated:

• Surveillance and control of the hunts planned in the different reserves during the hunting season.
• Control of poaching.
• Monitoring of game species such as roe deer, wild boar, hare and red-legged partridge and species of conservation interest.
• Monitoring of chamois populations.
• Preparation of reports and statistics.
