The initiative will contribute to rural development and forest land conservation through a payment for environmental services (PES) system.

The Confederation of Spanish Foresters (COSE) seeks to contribute to rural development and the conservation of forest and agricultural lands through a payment for environmental services (PES) system, which captures the value of the landscape and reverts it to those who care for it or can take care of it.

In this way, the potential and keys to the implementation of PSAs among custodians will be diagnosed. In addition, the LandsCare platform will become the first reference for a payment system for environmental services between custodians, local businesses and services and administrations at the level.

On the other hand, LandsCare will be constituted as a reference for the online payment system for environmental services at the national level between users, travelers, tourists and the general public, as an integrated guide of the territory through which to support the conservation work of the custodians with at least 500 users/visitors.

• Dissemination of the LandsCare platform among users, travellers and the general public
