The objective of this project is to contribute to the conservation, protection and study of the Mediterranean tortoise population (Testudo hermanni hermanni) in the Tarragona town of Marça.

The objective of this project is to contribute to the conservation, protection and study of the Mediterranean tortoise population (Testudo hermanni hermanni) in the Tarragona town of Marça.

The initiative provides for the construction of a recovery center that will have a zoological nucleus, an isolation area, a hospitalization area and a semi-free space for breeding specimens.

In addition, the project will be disseminated through the publication of 5,000 copies of a brochure explaining the initiative of the recovery center and the basic characteristics of the Mediterranean tortoise.
