The project aims to develop a methodology that allows the current degree of accessibility for all types of users of the Spanish Greenways to be assessed, so that it can be determined which are accessible, at least in some sections, in their current state.

The methodological development that is intended to be activated will include a series of standard corrective measures, understood as recommendations for action that provide Greenway managers with tools to correct possible accessibility deficiencies detected on the roads with relative simplicity and at a low cost.

In this way, it is intended to encourage the enjoyment of the Greenways among possible users with some type of disability, as an ideal way to learn about Spanish biodiversity.

The specific objectives of the initiative are:

  • To carry out a study and diagnosis of the accessibility of the Greenways and their complementary tourist offer.
  • To advise on universal accessibility, so that a technical solution is offered to the deficiencies that are detected.
