The project seeks the creation of a “Network of Local Entities +Biodiversity 2010” aimed at promoting local policies for the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity and the conservation of natural heritage.

The project seeks the creation of a “Network of Local Entities +Biodiversity 2010” aimed at promoting local policies for the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity and the conservation of natural heritage.

The objective is for the Network to become an instrument of technical support to Local Corporations. The aim is to offer the Administrations tools to promote the recovery of biodiversity. All the Local Entities associated with the FEMP can join this initiative.

It is also intended to promote this recovery of biodiversity through the preparation of a competition for Local Corporations that seeks to create incentives for such recovery.

This initiative includes the following actions:

• Implementation of the Network’s Secretariat, with the provision of the necessary human and material resources.
• Preparation of informative material for the Network.
• Creation of a Web page.
• Development of a system of indicators.
• Annual report and presentation of results.
• Preparation of the bases for the competition for incentives for the recovery of biodiversity.
