The project aims to find out about the impacts that may be generated in the territory, specifically in the Network of National Parks, as a result of global change and fundamentally climate change.
To know these impacts, and within the framework of the agreement, a Network of Multiparametric Meteorological Stations has been established. This network is made up of 19 land stations and an oceanographic buoy and its function is to collect data on climate, air and water quality, in the National Parks of Picos de Europa, Sierra Nevada, Cabrera and Teide.
It is expected that the continuous measurement of the parameters taken by the stations will allow us to know the evolution of the environmental effects in the short, medium and long term and their consequences on the availability of resources for the population.
