The project is structured in several actions aimed at the training and professional employment of its recipients, located in rural areas subject to depopulation, who present a real need for reconversion and restructuring of their economic activity.
The aim is to move from a traditional farming system to a sustainable farming system through the use of alternative crops that can perpetuate the viability of the agricultural sector based on the new concept of the Community Agricultural Policy.
The actions proposed for the development of this project are intended to increase the qualification of workers in the primary sector who are currently engaged in traditional agriculture for their conversion to organic farming. In addition, agricultural workers will be oriented who, due to the current economic situation, need viable alternative crops from an economic and environmental point of view, including pistachios.
The target audience of the project will be mainly agricultural workers. Special attention will be paid to disadvantaged groups (women, people with disabilities, immigrants, people over 45 years of age and low-skilled workers), workers located in areas subject to depopulation in rural areas and in protected areas and workers in the environmental sector.
