As a result of the different collaboration agreements signed between the Biodiversity Foundation and the Brown Bear Foundation, the initiative was carried out to produce a book on the behaviour of bears in the Cantabrian Mountains.

As a result of the different collaboration agreements signed between the Biodiversity Foundation and the Brown Bear Foundation, the initiative was carried out to produce a book on the behaviour of bears in the Cantabrian Mountains.

The publication, of which 2,000 copies were published, also contained a DVD prepared by the Biodiversity Foundation, with unpublished and spectacular images that served to illustrate the contents of the book. Given the success of this publication, whose edition sold out quickly, it was considered advisable to make an updated re-edition of the book and DVD.

The project contemplates the re-edition of the aforementioned book, which includes different aspects of the biology of the species, such as:

• Food and habitat use.
• Hibernation.
• Social relationships.
• Problems and challenges of conservation.
• Bears in heat.
• Family life.
• Encounters with other bears.
• Infanticides.
• Relationships with other species.

This revised edition has had a print run of 1,500 copies of the publication and 1,500 copies of the DVD have also been produced. Some changes have been made to the text in order to update it, as well as to replace some images with others. However, there have been no modifications to the DVD master.
