The project tries to bring one of the most important natural history series, “Planet Earth”, closer to the public. Each of the 14 episodes focuses on a habitat and its flora and fauna. The series, which will be presented on DVD for 14 weeks in a row, will be distributed with the newspaper Público.

The project tries to bring one of the most important natural history series, “Planet Earth”, closer to the public. Each of the 14 episodes focuses on a habitat and its flora and fauna. The series, which will be presented on DVD for 14 weeks in a row, will be distributed with the newspaper Público.

The overall objective of the project is to distribute and disseminate the “Planet Earth” natural history series. To reach the greatest number of people to instill respect and protection for the environment and raise awareness of the importance of caring for our planet and its ecosystems, making known in a visual way the greatness that makes up our planet and the dangers that threaten it.

The specific objectives are:

• To give citizens the opportunity to access a didactic and educational collection, at a time when knowledge of climate change has become an obligation of the media.

• Instill respect for and protection of the environment and raise awareness of the importance of caring for our planet and its ecosystems. The Planet Earth series has an important capacity to raise awareness among citizens about how essential it is to conserve the environment. It brings together in a clear and simple way how vital it is to conserve our ecosystems and fight together so that they do not disappear. With this type of action, the aim is for all of us to be aware of the richness of our planet and the importance of its conservation, each one of us doing our bit.
