The National Congress of the Environment (CONAMA) is the project that gives identity to the Conama Foundation and constitutes the reference forum of the environmental world in Spain. It has been held every two years since 1992.

The National Congress of the Environment (CONAMA) is the project that gives identity to the Conama Foundation and constitutes the reference forum of the environmental world in Spain. It has been held every two years since 1992.

The 11th edition of CONAMA, which will take place from 26 to 30 November 2012 in Madrid, is a national event with a specific international space. The preparation of the congress is mainly carried out from Madrid, but with a scope of action that includes the entire national territory.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss sustainable development in Spain through a stable forum for meeting, dialogue, debate and exchange of experiences between professionals from different fields, under the premise that only through co-responsibility can a more sustainable society be achieved.

The specific objectives of the project are:

• Organize the 11th edition of CONAMA.
• To set up a network of professionals in the field of sustainability that facilitates the exchange of experiences and teamwork, beyond the activities of the congress itself.
