Presentation of the photography and conservation project “The Living Med”, within the framework of the WILD10 Congress

The project consisted of the public and institutional presentation of the project “Photography and Conservation in the Mediterranean Ecoregion, The Living Med”, within the scope of the WILD10 Congress (X World Wildlands Congress), which was held in Salamanca, from 4 to 10 October 2013.

The objectives achieved with this initiative were:

  • To present the photographic and audiovisual archive of Mediterranean biodiversity of “The Living Med” to organizations and institutions linked to environmental conservation.
  • Establishment of strategic alliances between “The Living Med” and international organizations, local institutions and specialists in environmental conservation in the Mediterranean.
  • To communicate to specialized audiences (from the world of nature photography, dissemination, conservation and research) the objectives of “The Living Med” project to promote networking and conservation actions in the Mediterranean basin.
  • To raise awareness, both among the general public and specialised audiences, about the value of Mediterranean biodiversity and the opportunities that its conservation offers for the social, economic and environmental development of the ecoregion.
  • To improve and expand the photographic and audiovisual archive of “The Living Med” for the preparation of the presentation of the project within the framework of Wild10.
