MITECO

  • This project focuses on promoting a model of fair agroecological transition, from farm to fork, towards sustainable and resilient food systems.
  • It will implement a roadmap for the agroecological transition in Doñana and a methodological guide with good practices and Nature-Based Solutions to be applied in a network of agroecological farms (lighthouse and pilot). It will also create an innovative community of practice for shared learning, research, replicability and green jobs. Magnification of results through the promotion of sustainable value chains, aimed at optimizing profitability, reducing food waste, and improving environmental standards of agricultural production.

Promote a model of just agroecological transition towards sustainable and resilient food systems in Doñana, based on science, learning and social innovation.

Specifically, the actions are aimed at:

  • Draw up and implement a shared roadmap for a fair agroecological transition guided by scientific evidence and the need to adapt to climate change in the Doñana region.
  • Create a community of practice (CoP) for learning, knowledge sharing and green employment around the agroecological transition in Doñana.
  • Magnify the results for the sustainability of the value chain within the framework of markets and environmental and agri-food policies.
  • Design a shared roadmap for the agroecological transition in Doñana, including methodology for performance evaluation and agroecological transition of the farms with the Mar Menor nexus.
  • Promote and accompany the creation and implementation of a network of farms for the agroecological transition in Doñana.
  • Promote a community of practice (CoP) by promoting debate, learning and training for green jobs.
  • Preparation and execution of a communication and awareness-raising plan to disseminate the actions, results and lessons learned from the project.
  • Promote sustainable value chains within the framework of markets and environmental and agri-food policies.
  • Promote sustainable territorial development through Ecoterritories.
