Water, waste and biodiversity management can influence or be affected by climate change, so these issues will also be taken into account. At the same time, the project seeks to know the strengths of Spanish companies with respect to these issues.
The initiative contemplates the development of two activities. On the one hand, “Business Solutions”, within which a space will be designed for debate and exchange of knowledge between the ministry and companies. Thus, the efforts made by the ministry to facilitate legal compliance on climate change and air quality will be made known to the business sector, including other annexes such as waste, environmental impact assessment, water and biodiversity.
At the same time, it will be a platform to learn about and disseminate the most outstanding solutions of Spanish companies in the management of the main environmental aspects, which can serve as a reference for the MAGRAMA and other companies, especially SMEs.
To achieve the objectives of the project, contacts with the administration will be promoted through dialogues. The aim is to share with the business community the priorities of the Ministry of Agriculture and Agriculture and to know the response of the most advanced companies in each area.
A collection of thematic notebooks will be launched to show companies, with a special focus on SMEs, how public policies on the environment contribute to improving their competitiveness, through real business solutions implemented by other companies. The collection will consist of five notebooks that will showcase new legislation and successful business responses. The themes of the notebooks will be climate change, air quality, waste, biodiversity and water.
In addition, two debate sessions will be held for the dissemination and exchange of opinions on new environmental regulations and business solutions that link the environment and competitiveness. In order to disseminate all these activities, four electronic newsletters will be sent, which will be disseminated among subscribers to the news channel of the Fundación Entorno.
As for the “Sustainability Made in Spain” activity, it is about having a tool that allows the sustainability values of leading Spanish companies to be disseminated, so as to strengthen their image, credibility and the confidence of investors and customers, both in Spain and abroad.
Within it, two actions will be developed. On the one hand, a publication will be created under the title “Sustainability Made in Spain”, a reference report that will disclose the strengths of Spanish companies in terms of sustainability and will offer an attractive, solid and transparent vision of Spanish private and public institutions abroad. A communication plan will also be activated to disseminate the report nationally and internationally.
