The objective is to carry out a demonstrative study on the local knowledge of the management carried out by winegrowers located in the Doñana area and who contribute to the conservation of the natural area.
It will also be used to disseminate the environmental and social viability of this crop in the surroundings of a protected area, and new measures will be proposed to favour the permanence of these vineyards, recognised as agricultural areas of high natural value.
The specific objectives are:
- Identify, compile and organise the knowledge of the traditional vineyard growers in the socio-economic area of Doñana.
- To contribute to the maintenance of agricultural biodiversity.
- To promote the sustainable use of resources in cultivation.
The activities to be carried out within the framework of the initiative are:
- Conducting interviews with winegrowers.
- Bibliography search in different sources of information.
- Fieldwork, consisting of technical visits for the collection of data in situ and the performance of sampling. The visits will take place coinciding with the different phenological stages of the vineyard.
- Preparation of the report with the results of the project. The text will include, among other contents, practical recommendations for the sustainable use of resources in vineyards.
