The project tries to cover three determining aspects in the field of education for sustainable development, such as:
- The conservation of biodiversity, focusing on the conservation of two of the most emblematic species of Iberian fauna, such as the Iberian lynx and the Cantabrian bear.
- Biodiversity in danger, introducing general aspects of biodiversity loss and the role that invasive species play in this area.
- Practice for sustainability, providing some applicable and practical cases for everyday life in favor of sustainability.
This work is integrated into the educational program of the Karpin Public Wildlife Reception Center, in which the project is developed. The centre receives around 60,000 visits per year, and the profile of its audience is optimal for transmitting the importance of biodiversity in interrelation with the fauna hosted in it.
