The project aims to make professionals in sectors related to the environment aware of the new regulations on waste.
The following objectives are pursued:
– Minimize the negative effects of waste generation and management on human health and the environment.
– Reducing the use of resources and promoting the practical application of the waste hierarchy.
– Promote the implementation of measures for the prevention, reuse and recycling of waste.
– Increase the transparency and environmental and economic efficiency of waste management activities.
To this end, this initiative includes a series of actions such as the practical guide “New Basic Waste Law” which, based on a technical study on the new waste regulations, will establish the guidelines that companies and workers in the waste recovery and recycling sector must apply to comply with the requirements of said regulations.
In addition, other actions will be carried out such as the dissemination of informative material (in paper, electronic and web format), conferences, face-to-face training courses and online technical assistance, which will include the main novelties introduced by the new waste regulations, as well as their practical keys for their correct application.
Likewise, a communication channel will be established through the website between the different agents involved such as public administrations, entrepreneurs, workers, social agents, etc.
