It aims to develop a demonstration project for the conversion of agricultural plots in the Mar Menor Watershed to regenerative agriculture.

Specifically, the project will launch two experimental projects in various agricultural plots of reconversion towards a regenerative agriculture model, evaluating their results and their possibilities of transferability.

Another objective is to raise awareness of the need for a transition to a more sustainable agriculture, disseminating this demonstration project in the agricultural sector and among the population, and promoting training in agroecology and regenerative agriculture.

  • Experimental recovery of traditional rainfed crops.
  • Actions to enhance biodiversity, the presence of birds and terrestrial fauna and the provision of ecosystem services.
  • Development of a semi-arid resilient herbaceous steppe or grassland under the model of regenerative agriculture controlled by holistic grazing management.
  • Dissemination and awareness-raising in the agricultural sector, in schools and in the towns around the Mar Menor, including volunteering.
  • Training in agroecology and regenerative agriculture.
