The project has the involvement of private owners and town councils to conserve and improve the habitats and river species of the River Ter in its middle section with the aim of promoting river stewardship in the River Ter as a tool for conservation and improvement of biodiversity in these habitats.

This initiative incorporates a series of evaluations and monitoring of different indicators in order to determine the degree of involvement of the actions carried out on the estates in custody in the conservation of river ecosystems.

To achieve its objectives, the project proposes the development of the following activities:

• Achievement of new river stewardship agreements with municipalities and private owners and monitoring of existing agreements.
• Actions to improve habitats and biodiversity (forest improvements, elimination of invasive species, etc.)
• Monitoring of different groups as indicators (vegetation, aquatic macro-habitats, fish, birds and mammals)
• Dissemination and promotion of the project in particular and land stewardship in general.
