The project seeks to use river stewardship as a tool to conserve the green infrastructure of the Júcar Hydrographic Confederation.
The Limne Foundation has launched the project “River stewardship as a ‘hotspot’ of a green infrastructure” with the aim of using river stewardship as a suitable tool to conserve and improve the green infrastructure of the Júcar Hydrographic Confederation.
To this end, it proposes to establish river stewardship agreements, to promote the dispersal of species and to disseminate the potential of river stewardship as a valuable tool.
In this way, the aim is to improve four habitats, increase the presence of species by 10% and reach more than 2,300 people with the initiative. Another objective is to involve more than 500 people in custody projects.
Thus, within the framework of this project, a series of activities have been launched:
- Removal of invasive species
- Amphibian/bat/carnivore sampling
- Creation of refuges for amphibians and bats
- Outreach campaign
