The Spanish Wetlands Centre (CEHUM) was created to contribute to the knowledge of wetlands, both from the perspective of their value and functionality in biodiversity as a whole and the measures to be applied to guarantee their conservation.

The Spanish Wetlands Centre (CEHUM) was created to contribute to the knowledge of wetlands, both from the perspective of their value and functionality in biodiversity as a whole and the measures to be applied to guarantee their conservation.

The CEHUM will analyze the implementation of specific policies and active conservation programs at the national and international levels, in an attempt to counteract the threats faced by these ecosystems.

CEHUM’s lines of work are based on research, communication and awareness-raising – through information campaigns, conferences and seminars – and environmental education at all levels.
