It is an investigation on a very specific aspect of the olive grove, such as the influence of soil management on erosion and contamination by sediment and phytosanitary products, both of the cultivation land itself and of surface and groundwater.

To this end, a series of monitoring of certain plots of olive groves will be carried out, which represent different soil management systems. In this way, soil loss caused by erosion can be quantified.

Once this data is obtained, it will be assessed how the eroded soil and leachate fertilisers contaminate other resources in the area such as aquifers, watercourses and reservoirs.

The results will be disseminated in all the municipalities that are part of the natural park, convening the people responsible for the management of the olive grove plots, in order to raise awareness of the importance of carrying out good agricultural practices that guarantee the maintenance and conservation of the soil.
