Each of the municipalities that make up the Reserve have a leading role in this project, which seeks to establish the relationship between the state of conservation of forests and traditional uses.

The main objective is to know the relationship between traditional uses and the state of conservation of the forest masses of the Omaña and Luna Valleys Biosphere Reserve and to involve the population in the activities of the Reserve.

To this end, the actions envisaged are as follows:

  1. Study on the current situation of the existing forest masses in the Reserve and their relationship with traditional uses.
  2. Implementation of new technologies to publicise the Biosphere Reserve of the Omaña and Luna Valleys.
  3. Carrying out actions to promote traditional uses in each of the municipalities that make up the Reserve.
  4. Realization of a photography contest.
  5. Republication of the informative material of the Reserve.
  6. Carrying out actions to promote and disseminate traditional games.
  7. Holding of a demonstration conference.
  8. Seeking new sources of funding for the Reserve.
  9. Publication and dissemination of a publication with the results of the project.
