The general objective of the project is to promote the creation of sustainable companies in the Community of Madrid.

To this end, the following actions will be carried out:

  • Face-to-face course: Workshop on the creation of green companies in rural sectors or economic activities linked to the environment.
  • Guidance for the creation of green micro-enterprises.
  • Environmental and business advice for users in the rural sector with a view to reconversion or improvement.
  • Study and design of a methodological route for the creation of innovative and environmentally sustainable companies.

MITA NGO is committed to the development of a methodological study and development, based on two transversal axes. On the one hand, the realization of a panel and diagnosis of the quantitative and qualitative characteristics, as well as interviews of those establishments, companies or cooperatives that are currently developing their business in sectors such as hospitality, tourism, livestock and the obtaining of agri-food products in rural areas. In the second instance, it is intended to identify those market niches that are not covered and recommend a methodological route for the reinforcement of existing or newly created businesses.

The entity aims to involve the native population interested in implementing these businesses, in addition to disseminating the methodological route and experience acquired to potential entrepreneurs in the community of Madrid, who contact the organization and wish to develop their economic activity in sectors conducive to the sustainable socioeconomic development of rural areas.

The recipients will be employees of SMEs and micro-SMEs, and self-employed women, generally located in rural areas or subject to depopulation, although the participation of women, people over 45 and immigrant workers will also be prioritized regardless of their location.
