The objective of the initiative is to improve the measurement and valuation of biodiversity and ecosystem services in the business environment, achieving a sustainable use of these services.

To this end, the Spanish version of two publications developed by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development will be prepared:

• “Guide to Corporate Ecosystem Valuation”, developed in collaboration with WRI, IUCN, ERM and PricewaterhouseCoopers and 15 companies as road testers.
• “Corporate Ecosystem Valuation. Building the business case”.

Both publications will be presented at an event held in Madrid on April 28 in the auditorium of the Ministry of the Environment, Rural and Marine Affairs.

After the presentation ceremony, it is expected to achieve a considerable number of downloads of the publications in their electronic version through the website of the Entorno-BCSD Foundation and the sending of information about the publications to the 30,000 subscribers of the Sustainable Company Channel. In addition, the paper publications will be sent to 150 professionals from the business, academic and scientific fields, public administrations and the media.
